My weekend sprouted wings and flew away

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. I know I have. Another busy one, but definitely not the kind of busy you regret. We had 2 different sets of out of town friends visiting this weekend. Between visiting and tour-guiding (Beware, if you come to visit me, Techy will turn on his tour guide skills and start telling you everything he knows about the state of Delaware. Even if he has told it to you before. He can't control it. Or maybe he can and he just doesn't want to...) we have had a pretty great weekend.

We made a visit to the flea market, where I was really just looking for any little odds and ends. While there, I managed to score 2 free, that's right, I said, FREE, picture frames for my foyer, an adorable A & P tray for $2, and a full set of dishes for $5. As you can see I already have them up on the wall.

Truthfully, it was never my intention to purchase the whole set of dishes, but when I asked, they said they were selling the entire set for $5. How do you turn that down? I mean, bowls, salad plates, bread plates, dinner plates, and these square something plates. I lurrrrrrrrrrrrrrve square plates. And I totally heart the flea market. I may make a habit of visiting a little more often.

Little Man and I took a few minutes out of our busy day to have lunch with family/friends/former boss & his wife - whatever you want to call them - who I haven't really gotten to see much of since I left said job and moved to Delaware. And I am so glad we got to see them. It's always so nice to catch up on things at home. I had to laugh when one of the first questions my former boss asked me was when am I moving back to Virginia. He is retired now and isn't even fishing because he wants me back at work, so it really means alot to me.

For some reason this picture reminds me of that moment in Sweet Home Alabama, "Oh, you have a baby! In a bar..." Oh well, some of the finest Tex Mex food this side of the border...who cares if the decor is made up of a couple thousand corona cases?

Later, we got to introduce our other out of town guests to one of the best things Delaware has to offer. Within seconds of being in the doors, I watched our visitors' jaws drop. They both remarked on how poorly prepared they were for the wonder that is Christmas Tree Shoppes. Secretly, I think they are planning their next trip to Delaware just to take home loads and loads of awesome low priced items. Man, I love that store.

We finished up with a trip to BabiesRUs where some of you may have seen this picture on Techy's facebook.

Without getting into too many of the details, between $3 Huggies coupons and gift cards, we spent $0 on 4 GIANT boxes of diapers PLUS we got an extra $30 in gift cards back from the purchase. Not a bad deal, huh?

But now, I hafta catch up on all this undone laundry and housework.

So until tomorrow....
