My Honest Opinion: Real Housewives of NYC

Pregnancy Edition.

Which means I won't be mincing any words.

AKA.  I'll be word vomitting all over myself like Ramona does every.single.day.

I'm not gonna lie, I had a total love/hate relationship with this season.

I loved Jill this season.

Hated Ramona.

Loved the Countess.

HATED Alex and wretched SIMON.

Everyone else was just background noise, hummmmmmmmmmmmmm....

But this where I'll dish what I really thought of each and every individual on the show this season.

Be excited.

Or not.

I am.

So without further ado, let's start with the new girl, shall we?

1. Cindy Barshop.

Ah, Cindy....

Poor, Cindy....

I get the feeling Cindy had no idea what she was signing up for.

Like she was so busy being pregnant and having those twins that she had never seen the show before.

And didn't know how often Ramona likes to spout off at people.

But she was definitely in WAY over her head.

And seriously?  You don't schedule a lunch date for the same time as a conference call.

Lunch dates are for eating.

And talking.

But not on the phone.

2. Kelly Bensimon.

Last year, I called Kelly "the crazy one", this year, not so much.

Maybe the editors were kind.

Or maybe Ramona and Alex provided more than enough crazy to temper even Kelly's delirium.

This year, Kelly appeared kind, almost genuine, and extremely loyal.

Likeable, even.

Don't ask me how it happened, but I like the new Kelly.

3.  Jill Zarin.

Oh, how I love Jill.

Even at the height of the Bethany drama, I couldn't help but love Jill.

(Who was clearly in the wrong in that situation, but let's let bygones be bygones, ok....)

And this season, I adored her.

More than ever.

Sure she's catty.  Sure she snarky.

She's also freaking hysterical.

And you never ever have to wonder what she thinks about you.

When I grow up and move to New York City, I totally want to be bff's with Jill.

4.  The Countess - Luann de Lesseps.

Despite the ridiculousness of the Countess's career as a pop artist, I can't help but adore this woman.

She is appropriate and kind.

And as genuine as a person with that much class and social status can be.

I have so much respect for the way she held her tongue after the way Ramona tossed her dirty laundry out to the public eye.

And even more than that, I respect the way she walked away from the opportunity to do the same to Ramona.

Once again proving that she outclasses Singer by leaps and bounds.

5. Ramona Singer

Oh, how I despised this woman....

She was despicable!

Rude.

Mean.

Hurtful.

Cutting.

Classless.

Silly.

And can we say drinking problem????

I was handling her just fine until it came to the reunion show when she started throwing all the dirt about the Countess's children.

Not to mention, the comment about Jill being in AA.

Seriously?

The woman has severe foot-in-mouth-disorder.

And I couldn't have less respect for her.
6.  Sonja Morgan

The only bad thing I have to say about Sonja, though, is that she was stupid enough to bff it up with Ramona and Alex.

As if there are no better fish in the sea.

Sure, she called Cindy out for her lapses in judgment, which truthfully, Cindy probably needed....

But anyway, Sonja?

Silly?  Yes.

Enjoyable?  Extremely.

A little trashy?  Obviously.

Mean or Harsh?  No.

How on earth she and Ramona get along I'll never know.

Wonder if next year, she and Ramona will still be friends....

Or if Ramona will finally lash out at her, too....

Did I mention that I really don't like Ramona??

FINALLY,

Last, but certainly not least...

7.  Alex McCord

When I first started watching the show, I liked Alex.

She was like the nobody from Brooklyn that we could all relate to.

But now.

Oh wow.

Strange doesn't even touch what she has become.

And mean???

Why do you need to be mean, Alex?

Where do you think it's going to get you?

In Ramona's good graces??

Because really, everyone knows that doesn't last for long.

And why did you go blonde?

I way miss the red.

(I of course, mean the red of her hair and not the red on her neck...)

But I'm happy that Simon's hypnosis-no smoking trick worked, so yay!

All in all, it was an exhausting and extremely enjoyable season of Housewives of NYC.

I don't know what I will do to fill my time now that you're gone....

Oh wait.

There's those Jersey girls!

What would I do without Bravo!!!

I couldn't agree with you more!!! Ramona makes my skin craw! Andy Cohen on his Facebook page yesterday posted about how he's "heard us" and there are changes to be made in NYC.

Oh and I totally think Mario is a cheatin' on her!! :)
