It should be retermed as "from the moment I get up until the moment I go to bed" sickness.
Because that would be much more accurate.
2. The only thing to ward off the symptoms of morning sickness is eating.
Also known as the last thing I want to do while I feel this way.
It would be fine if ANYTHING appealed to me.
But alas.
Either it stinks.
Or it looks gross.
Or the texture is off.
Or it's too dry.
Or it smells like gym socks.
Or something.
Basically, I don't like anything.
Unless it's cold, wet, and bland.
Which leaves me about 3 foods to eat.
3 and 4. The "girls" are back.
Front and center.
High and mighty.
I've already gone up a bra size.
Geez. Louise.
5. Energy Shmenergy.
Whatever energy I might have had to run A MILE a few weeks ago is completely gone.
Right now, I'd be surprised if I could walk one.
Not literally.
But, gosh, if it doesn't wear a body out.
6. Belly Flop.
They say you show sooner the second time around.
I'd say I agree.
This was 13 weeks LAST TIME.
And this is 10 weeks THIS TIME.
7. Romance is *ahem* WAY AWESOME *ahem*.
Yep.
I'll brag about it.
Cause right now that's about all I have to brag about.
That and the fact that I can down a whole bag of jolly ranchers in about 20 minutes.
But that's not really an accomplishment.
So I'll brag about the romance.
Blame it on the h-h-h-hormones!
8. The Bachelorett is way stupider from the viewpoint of pregnancy hormones.
As are most men.
Most dogs.
Most drivers of other vehicles.
Most reality television shows.
Most cartoons.
Most foods.
Most waiters/waitresses.
Most politicians.
And pretty much anyone that wasn't included in any of those groups.
Sorry. It's a biproduct of pregnancy.
Superiority.
9. Tears aren't just for sad times.
During pregnancy, tears are good for every emotion.
Happiness.
Anger.
Frustration.
Exhaustion.
Excitement.
Humiliation.
Pride.
Basically any emotion that can be seen on an episode of Extreme Makeover - Any Edition.
10. Weight Loss/Gain.
Quite possibly the most difficult thing to cope with during this first trimester is the fact that while I have gained 10 lbs., my husband has lost it.
Looks like it's going to be another record breaking pregnancy.
Yip-pee.
What you may surmise from this post is that although I may not be relishing the symptoms of my pregnancy,
seeing this little sight last week made it all worth it.
Ahh...you're so right...so worth it! This too will pass...but hopefully fast enough so you can really enjoy your pregnancy without the all-day sickness ;) Wishing you all the best, Roberta
