Remember that craft party I hosted about a month ago at my house?
Wherein one of the attendees made adorable valentines for her kiddo?
See?
It's this one, right there....
You can actually see the sharpie in her hands as she's writing cute sayings on each card.
Um, yeah.
I totally should have been paying more attention.
Of course, I think I may have even said these famous last words that day..."Well, since Little Man doesn't have anyone to give valentines to..."
Ah, yes.
Famous last words.
Because then Little Man joined the big boy school....
And gained a class full of kiddos.
I guess it should have occurred to me when they sent the note home last week about decorating cookies for their Valentine's day party.
But of course it didn't.
And then on Sunday afternoon when I sent Techy to Wal-Mart and only mentioned something about valentines.... Like that would ever work....
So yes, at 7 am yesterday morning, I was THAT mom. Walking around Wal-Mart combing every last aisle for 1 box of valentines.
And then I saw HER.
She was THAT mom too.
And SHE was carrying the LAST BOX of valentines that she had whisked from Wal-Mart's shelves.
Leaving me to get creative.
And that's why for Little Man's first Valentine exchange, he gave out note cards with apples on them.
That mommy had written U R SWEET on.
And then adhered puffy valentine stickers to while running out the door to work.
Yes. PUFFY STICKERS.
Don't worry, I saved a sheet for myself.
But at least my kid got to give out Valentines.
It's the thought that counts right?
Not whether or not they had Buzz Lightyear on them.
Or at least that's what I am telling myself.
I mean really, all this pressure....
And he's only 1.
Can you imagine what I'll be like when it really counts?!
lmao!! puffy heart stickers! i am way jealous! :)
