Ann Shirley Green

Ever have one of those moments where you look in the mirror and think:

"Who is THAT?!"

Well, I had one of those moments today.

As in, who is that strange person with green hair?!

That's right.

Green hair.

As in a normal day, with normal clothes, and normal makeup.

And then BAM!  Ann of Green Gables' green hair to RUIN it all.

As if the $5,000 garage floor wasn't enough.

Nevermind the carrots that I will be fishing out of my child's ears for years to come.

I mean, really.

I know what I am working with, here.

It's only been 29 years.

And it's almost always been a pretty normal shade of auburn.

But then fall hits.

And every year, I forget it's coming.

And like the leaves on the trees, the hair on my head decides it's time to color hibernate.

And my hair darkens.

Usually by the 3rd week in November people start to ask me if I have colored my hair. (I never have, by the way. NEVER.)

But in the process, I don't know if I have ever had GREEN hair.

A little worried about the content of my water.

But on the upside, looks like I am ahead of the game for my Halloween costume!
